Ed is an amazing wedding photographer! How he managed to get two camera-shy people to relax throughout an hour-long wedding photoshoot and capture stunning photos is beyond us. He has a keen eye for light, angles and framing and is great at directing you to get the best result possible. He was also tireless, taking friends and family photos late into the night at the reception and sending us a highlight reel the next day. Thank you so much. We will enjoy the photos for a lifetime!

WHO IS ED YAO?
Former scientist, amateur rock climber, and endlessly curious…
You may be surprised to find out that I actually have an M.Sc. from McGill University in Immunology. It was during my studies that I developed a passion for photography and turned it into a full-time pursuit in 2012. I absolutely adore meeting new people, and my experiences as an event photographer has allowed me to interact with so many people that I otherwise wouldn’t have access to, from world-class chefs, billionaires, celebrity actors and actresses, and even the Prime Minister of Canada. After all, a stranger is just a friend that you haven’t met yet. When I’m not taking photos, you can probably find me bouldering at a climbing gym, or blundering at chess!
